Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger was left fuming at his side’s shoddy showing after West Bromwich Albion ended the Gunners’ six-game unbeaten run with a 2-1 victory at The Hawthorns on Saturday.
The Gunners took the lead through Olivier Giroud, only to be pegged back and overturned by a resilient Baggies side with goals from Morrison and a Mikel Arteta own goal.
“We did give everything until the end. Maybe we were a bit too sure of ourselves. Overall it was a bad day,” Wenger told BBC Sport.
“We scored an own goal, missed a penalty and missed a lot of chances. It is very disappointing.”
The result leaves Arsenal fourth in the Premier League table, while West Brom climb to 12th with 17 points from their opening 13 games.
