Senator representing Kaduna Central district, Shehu Sani has reacted to President Muhammadu Buhari’s warning to International communities not to interfere in the internal affairs of the country.
Following the controversies generated by the suspension of Mr. Onnoghen by President Buhari on Friday and the appointment of a successor in acting capacity, the United States, the United Kingdom and other foreign institutions issued statements advising the government to retrace its steps.

The Presidency had said as much as Nigeria welcomes interests and partnerships for a successful 2019 general elections, the government would not condone unfair interference in the country’s internal affairs.

Senator Sani, reacting to the Federal Government’s response to the foreign countries said the countries the government warned to stop interfering in our internal affairs, are the same ones the government depends on for help to fight insurgency and assistance in addressing humanitarian issues in the country.

In his words, the lawmaker said: “The EU,US and the UK that we are warning to stop ‘interfering in our internal affairs’ are the same people we are depending on to help us combat and neutralize insurgency and address humanitarian issues in our country; Are insurgency & IDPs not our internal affairs?
