Lobi Stars coach, Justin Tenger has expressed disappointment with his side’s defeat by Lobi Stars in the final of the Federation Cup, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
The Pride of Benue were far from their best in the encounter and succumbed to a 2-1 defeat against Akwa United.
It was the third time the Makurdi based outfit will be losing in the final following defeats in 2005 and 2011 against Enyimba and Heartland respectively.
The experienced tactician rued the inability of his side to hit top form in the game that was dominated by their opponent.
“It’s disappointing to lose again after our defeats the previous two times we made it to the final,” Tengertold Completesportsnigeria.com.
“We started the game slowly and were no where our best.
“We improved in the second half, but their second goal killed the game off.
“My boys did well to pull a goal back, but it was just too late for us to comeback into the game.
“It’s a disappointing end to the season for us, but we hope to be back next srason.”
