Miracle and Testimony Ayeni, from Enugu, have hit international headlines after they were successfully separated in a US hospital.

Miracle and Testimony Ayeni were conjoined at the pelvis
The girls parents, their older sister, and even their pastor arrived the US in June this year hoping for the best, as local hospitals could’t carry out the complicated operation.
Thus, America was their only hope… and when surgeons at Le Bonheur offered to do the operation free of charge, they couldn’t believe their luck.
The girls underwent an 18-hour operation at Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital in Memphis
Moreover, after the management of the Nigerian airline Arik Air learned about their situation — free flights were offered to the girls’ whole family.
The toddlers have undergone the incredibly delicate operation at Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, on November 7 and 8.

It took doctors 18 hours to separate the twins, who were conjoined at the pelvis.
Miracle and Testimony turned one on Wednesday, November 16, and highly likely will be home soon with their happy parents Samuel Olusegun Ayeni and Mary Abiodun Ayeni.

The babies were born at the family’s local hospital in Enugu. Shortly afterwards, they were urgently flown to Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, where they remained until June.
