A popular social media commentator, Kayode Ogundamisi has mocked the passing away of Abubakar Audu.

Audu was the gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress in Kogi but news of his demise began to circulate moments after the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared the result of the election inclusive. The APC candidate was reported to vomited blood on Friday evening and to get a blood transfusion on the morning of the election. He reportedly returned to his home after he had cast his vote but started to vomit blood again. He passed away on the morning of Sunday, November 22.

Amidst the expressions of grief and dismay by Nigerians following the news of the politician’s death, Ogundamisi took to social media to ‘celebrate’ the death saying that “Kogi just missed a bullet”

The late politician is expected to be buried on Monday, November 23 in his home town according to Islamic rites
