A few days ago, the special assistant to the Governor Emmanuel on Public Affairs, Akparawa Raphael Edem, initiated a challenge on twitter, #targettedgiveaway, to empower an individual, who could convincingly highlight how a hundred thousand naira (N100,000) can change the dynamics of his/her business or endeavour.
The challenge as on his twitter page was captured as thus:
“What can 100k do for you? Most compelling argument wins. Offer valid for 24 hours! #targetedgiveaway“, – via @raphedem1.
No fewer than 40 entries were received through replies and retweets on his handle.
In what seemed very competitive, as folks from the academia, entrepreneurs and other submitted entries, a winner emerged.
From the lot, Ikemesit Ayara’s entry was ranked best and got the nod of other participants, when the announcement was eventually made.
Ayara had tweeted and hinted on his dependence on loans to run his farm. A video of a section of his farm is attached herewith.
“It will go a long way to boost my farm, impact effective production and less loan stress. Thank you. https://t.co/wvdVtpwtBL“, – via @ayara_ikemesit.
Findings revealed, Ayara ventured into fish production early 2018, and currently has more than 1,500 in his farm.
The Abak based entrepreneur believes the financial incentive will uplift his business and take off some pressure of sourcing for funds to acquire feeds.
Yesterday, the benefactor, Raphael and Promise Etim were at Ayara’s farm for an ‘on the spot assessment’, to verify his claims.
As promised, Raphael empowered Ayara with the sum of one hundred thousand naira, to add value to his business.
This is really a #targettedgiveaway. We encourage others to embrace gestures of this magnitude, to motivate entrepreneurs like Ayara to enhance their businesses.
