Crisis Rocks APC in Akwa Ibom

The crisis rocking All Progressives Congress, APC, Akwa Ibom State chapter is taking a new dimension as two parallel executive emerged from two different factions recently.
The factions are attributed to the on-going battle between the Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) Obong Nsima Ekere and Senator John James Akpanudoedehge via their struggle to grab the ticket of the Party for the 2019 gubernatorial election in the State.
It is reported that Mr. Amadu Attai who is already known as the authentic State Chairman of the Party is under pressure by the faction of Senator Udoedeghe to step aside, since he (Amadu) is not supporting the Senator and already he is said to be sentimental by his regular visits to the former Deputy Governor of the State, Obong Nsima Ekere.
Meanwhile, members of the parallel executive emerging from the Senators faction against the already existing executive led by Mr. Amadu Atai are seriously engaging in war of words and it is reported that the new faction led by one senior and high ranking politician from Nsit Atai last weekend approached the State Secretariat of the party with thugs to confront their opponent but were stopped by the security men who were on duty.
In a recent development after the confrontation the senators faction and the parading state executive are allegedly said to have been ready to open their new APC State Office at Nsikak Eduok by two lane Uyo. The wave is still following up the struggle.
