E-101 MAGAZINE MARKS WORLD MUSIC DAY WITH 1ST EVER IBOM MUSIC SUMMIT [PHOTOS]

Widely respected media outfit, E-101 Magazine staged a 1-day music summit to mark the World Music Day today at Monty Suite, Edet Akpan Avenue, Uyo. The first IBOM MUSIC SUMMIT was put together by the all entertainment/personality news-magazine in partnership with Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria (PMAN), Akwa Ibom State to commemorate World Music day 2013. 


With the theme “Re-positioning The Akwa Ibom Music Industry For Modern Day Challenges”, the summit was graced by eminent resource persons who presented the following keynote addresses: SCORING A HIT/TECHNIQUES FOR WRITING A GOOD SONG by Mista Xto, Member Arts & Culture Board, Akwa Ibom State,  The Akwa Ibom Musician: Becoming A World Class Brand by Nature Udoh, branding expert and CEO, Nature Udoh & The Gang, Protecting Your Music: The Role of Nigeria Copyright Commission by Liaison Officer, NCC Zonal Office, Uyo and The dynamics of Music Promotion in a Digital Age by Aniekan Ekah, I.T expert & CEO, www.Wetinhappen.blogspot.com

There was also a 60-minute brainstorming session where issues bedeviling the music industry in Akwa Ibom State were discussed. 

The summit was declared open by the Honorable Commissioner for Culture and Tourism Pastor Ita Umo Udoh. Also in attendance was Mr Samuel George Frank from the newly-created Bureau of Sports and Youth Development. Certificates will be presented to all participants at the end of the summit.
