The Ex-Governor of Zamfara State, Abdul’aziz Yari, has condoled with people of Maradun and Tsafe local Government areas over the recent attack in the communities, defending his administration, says during his time of leadership he tried his best to tackle security problem in the state.
While consoling the families of the deceased who lost their lives, Yari said the issue of security in the state is beyond political power and personal interest.
The News Agency of Nigerian (NAN) reported that the former Governor made the comments at a meeting in Talata- Mafara held by the leaders of All Progressive Congress (APC) from Gusau, Maradun and Tsafe local government areas on Monday.
He said; “I am using this opportunity on behalf of the entire APC members in Zamfara state to condole people of Maradun and Tsafe Local Government areas over recent bandits attacks in their communities.”
“We pray to almighty Allah to grant the deceased Aljannatul Firdausi and give their families the fortitude to bear the loss.”
“You know, during my administration I tried my best to tackle the problem though some people were accusing us thinking that w have not done well to address the problem.”
“We are not saying this because we happy with what is happening, but people should avoid judgement based on personal or political interest.
“As I always say, the issue of security is beyond political or personal interest, we should support President Buhari in fighting banditry in the state.”
Also speaking, his counterpart, Alhaji Mudi of Tsafe local Government area expressed his gratitude to the former governor over his concern for the people in the state.
