The Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) has sealed at least 13 fuel stations in Niger State for selling petrol above government approved price of 145 Naira.
Some were also sealed for hoarding the product.
This is coming two days after the department held a meeting with oil marketers around the border areas who were alleged to be smuggling PMS out of Nigeria to neighbouring Benin Republic.
According to the DPR Controller in the State, Abdullahi Jankara, the department is stepping up its surveillance to rid Niger State of activities of oil marketers engaging in sharp practices.
