On Wednesday evening, May 29, 2013 at Playground Event Centre, a new social group for Akwa Ibom masses Ndito Boys & Girls of Akwa Ibom, will stage a Democracy Day Jamboree tagged Ndito Boys & Girls of Akwa Ibom Democracy Day Jamboree.

May 29 is a day Nigerians celebrate her growing democracy since the military handed over power to civilian rule in 1999. The people of Akwa Ibom state will throng brooks street Uyo for the open-air free show organized to celebrate democracy in the state, acknowledging the peace that has reigned over the years. “It has become a tradition for years now“, Mr. Xto reinstated, while granting an interview at the premises of Radio Nigeria Atlantic FM.

Of course you know that if there is no peace in the land even those that are not politicians cannot go on with their businesses, as such, the celebration of democracy and its dividends has thus been considered a necessity by us, concerned Ndito Boys & Girls (laughs)“.

Initially we were doing this as South Central Records, my company in conjunction with Nature Udoh and First Entertainment, but this year, we are coming under the aegis of Ndito Boys & Girls, creating an umbrella body that can accommodate Akwa Ibom indigenes of all class”, he added.

With a lineup of the creme-da-la-creme of  entertainers in the state, hosted by Mr. Xto, the event will surely be an “off the hook jamboree”. Last year payed host to Presh, Effiom Trombone, UNIK and host of others, there are promises of surprise artistes this edition.
