JS Hercules of Finland coach and former Super Eagles assistant Daniel Amokachi believes Victor Moses can be one of the best players in the world and has praised Antonio Conte for the winger’s resurgence this season.
Nigeria winger Moses spent his last three seasons away from Chelsea away on loan but reclaimed a starting berth in Conte’s squad playing as a wing-back.
Amokachi, whose club play in the Finnish third division, revealed that he often told Moses during his spell with the Nigerian national team he can be as good as any player if he puts in more hardwork.
“If Victor Moses wants to be (Lionel) Messi, he can be Messi,” Amokachi was quoted in an interview in The Guardian.
“It’s been a very long time since I’ve seen a player who has so many qualities. We have talked a lot. And what I told him, I told him every time. If you want to be the best that you can, then you have to work harder.
“In the past he was a player who can sometimes switch off. You speak to people who train with [Cristiano] Ronaldo and Messi and they tell you it is incredible how hard they work. That seems to have sunk in now thanks to Conte.”
