Ajoke Silva is a veteran Nollywood actress whose acting career started in the early 90s. Olu Jacobs is a fellow veteran actor and he husband. The couple got married on November 16, 1985 and today is their 31st wedding anniversary.
Olu Jacobs career started in the 1970s and he has featured in numerous Nollywood films and stage plays on national and international soil. The pair got married in 1985 and have two wonderful sons together: Olusoji and Olugbenga.
Olu and Joke’s relationship has been glamourised as one of the most successful and happiest Nollywood marriages. Though Olu seniors Joke with 19 years, the couple still look and act like age mates.
Here are five steamy pictures of the love-struck couple to celebrate their incredible 31 years of marriage:
1. On their wedding day in 1985
What better way to trace love than back to the start of it all. The 80s was a more conservative time but even side by side, we can tell how hot they were for each other.
2. The loving eye contact
You can tell a lot about how much a couple cares for one another by their eye contact. Here Joke is laughing and Olu is smiling but they maintain eye contact throughout.
It’s like a silent love poem between couples.
3. A couple that slays together on the red carpet, stay together off the red carpet
What is hotter than a couple who can dress to perfection? Olu Jacobs is looking handsome in his suit and Joke’s dress makes us envious. They look so perfect together here, you can already see how perfect they must be everyday of their lives.
4. Sealing it with a kiss
Kissing is a sure way to show someone how much you love them. Kissing in public is a way of showing the whole world you love them. Olu and Joke are not as old school as you think, they will kiss like teenagers on their first date and we are fine with it.
5. Return of the kiss
If only the photographer had been patient, we wold have gotten another iconic Olu and Joke kiss picture. From this shot alone though, we can feel their intense chemistry.
It’s not easy being married for so long and keeping the fire alive so we give great kudos to Olu and Joke for making marriage look so inviting. We wish them many, many more happy years in their marriage.
