Cultural events are by all means fashionable and it accentuates the very essence of a people, providing them with a forum all their own. Orman Esin a.k.a Slo facilitated such a stylish forum for his people when as the incumbent executive chairman of Oron Local Government Area in Akwa Ibom State.
In 2012, he orchestrated the advent of the Uko Oro Festival, which enabled his people to express pride in the Oro heritage, while other culture lovers soaked up the implausible diversity of Oro nation – the dances, masquerades, food, tradition as they enjoyed displays from various local government areas that make up Oro nation and presentations of different genre of the art from various homegrown and nationally acclaimed artiste.
Since founding Eclipse Modeling Agency in Calabar, in the late 1990s, Esin has always been about change, “My mission has always been to revolutionize the face of the society”, and this he had done variously, using his wealth of experience and sagacity in model management to produce and present the Most Beautiful Girl in Cross River State pageantry in 2005.
In 2008, Esin raised the bar in events and lifestyle documentation in South-south Nigeria.
With the positioning Statement …taking charge! , a new chapter was opened when Esin floated and launched the now rested Elite Magazine under his well-liked DARFEROM label.
From dawn to dusk, Elite magazine supported, covered and communicated to both style arbiters and everyday people.
