Super Eagles Technical Adviser, Gernot Rohr, has called up Belgium –based forward Henry Onyekuru in place of Austria Wien FC goal poacher Olanrewaju Kayode, who is being held back by club engagement.
The in-demand striker Henry Onyekuru took his tally for the season to 20 goals in the Belgian First Division A after finding the net in Eupen’s 2-0 win over Mouscron-Péruwelz on Wednesday night.
In the race for the top scorer award in the Belgian top flight, the Nigerian is now level on goals with Anderlecht striker Lukasz Teodorczyk, and both will have to wait until the last round of the season this weekend to discover the winner of the award.
Onyekuru has been monitored by Premier League clubs not limited to Chelsea, Arsenal, Everton, Southampton and West Ham in recent months.
