“And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the Music”- Friedrich Nietzsche.
The Name Mishael Aniekeme Meshach may not ring a bell but Mish sure does. Mish, a native of Akwa Ibom state came to limelight a few years back when he dropped his first album titled “Replay”.
The hit song off the album “Akwa Ibom ayaiya” received massive support as it was replayed on air and in clubs across Nigeria and in other cities in the world.
Coming with something good after such a great entry to the industry always bring hard times for artistes.
But the “Akwa Ibom ayaiya” crooner rose above it as he has dropped two new singles of his yet to be titled album. The first was “Go and Marry” which premiered during the 2013 valentine’s day and now the latest ” A Little”.
With an art cover that bears it black and white and colour pink as font colour, Mish shows off his native hat (truly African). It came out simple but classic! ” A little” was done at La’Khush studio in Uyo and produced by the very talented kipinitreal entertainment in-house producer-Bard Bishop and their female artiste Oziz brought the female flavour to the song. The track plays for about 4:7mins which gives one enough time to dance.
The ideology behind the song is that giving doesn’t need having much but the joy you have when sharing the Little you have.
Its a kind of song one plays on a Friday night(TGIF) telling one that ” a little” of fun won’t kill (Workaholic).
Lovers of the Makossa genre will be very glad Mish came out with a song like this. Its lyrics are simple and down to earth.
The production is nice, one can’t skip the guitar, drums and even the Bass-line which gives the song the Makossa flavour. It could be said that it falls in the category of Iyanya’s ” Ur waist” song.
The ibibio lyrics towards the 3:7mins
” Mbre ikoso, I like ’em so, Mbre ikoso, leave ’em like so” is off the hook! One would expect the song to end with the same lines but both Mish and Bard Bishop thinks differently. I feel you need “A Little” on your playlist and devices. Djs and Naija music lovers alike
