What a wonderful union! On the 29th of December 2012, years after they met, Otobong Udofia and Ime Akpabio were joined together in holy matrimony.
It was a truly blessed day filled with so much love! Otobong and Ime’s wedding ceremony took place at Qua Iboe Church #2 Abak Road, Uyo. Otobong was a vision of classic bridal elegance in her lace dress.
The full a-line gown, layers of tulle topped with rebrode lace and crystal embellishments of her dress were accentuated by her dazzling accessories including a diamond stud earrings and a lovely smile – the entire look was breathtakingly regal.
It was not a surprise that the groom was teary eyed as he admired his Mrs as she walked down the aisle. The groom Ime was dapper in his cream-color suit paired with a white shirt and tie to match.
The couple’s wedding ceremony was filled with an abundance of prayers, well wishes and joyful songs. No wonder the wife of Akwa Ibom State Governor, Her Excellency [Mrs] Ekaette Unoma-Akpabio was there in person! After the church blessing, the bridal party transitioned to the grand reception. Guests admired the bridesmaids in bright red gowns with long curly hairs and the groomsmen were not left out as they rocked their gray suits with orange ties to match the colors of the day.
Otobong and Ime’s reception was an unforgettable experience as they celebrated their love surrounded by family and friends.
Before the couple cut their wedding cake, there was a solo jazz performance by David Sax – a popular kid saxophonist! His performance serenaded the sweethearts and then the couple matched together to cut their wedding cake. It was such an amazing moment and an amazing day!
Wetinhappen wishes Otobong and Ime a blessed and fruitful union. May each day be filled with love, happiness and divine favour! Here are pictures of that event!
