MISS EARTH WORLD PAGEANT 2013 – MEET THE CONTESTANTS

Miss Earth Nigeria is affiliated to the international Miss Earth World pageant with her headquarters in the Philippines; Miss Earth Organizers believe that beauty queens would be a good and effective advocate of worthy causes. To give life to this vision, Carousel Productions Inc. organized and launched in 2001 the MISS EARTH Beauty Pageant, a beauty event whose reason is to have its candidates and winners actively promote and get involved in the preservation of the environment and the protection of Mother Earth.

Miss Earth is a prestigious environmentally-themed beauty pageant with this year’s theme “Year of Water Cooperation” and is geared towards environmental sustainability.

Miss Earth is one of the three largest beauty pageants in the world in terms of the number of national-level competitions to participate in the world finals.

Two of its queens have made it to the semi final levels at world competition; Stacey Gavey in 2007 and Uko Ezinne in 2008.

Miss Earth Nigeria Year of Water Cooperation is an initiative and platform to sensitize our nation towards adopting the use of renewable energy and reduce the green house gas emission, deforestation e.t.c. Miss Earth corroborates its significance with its slogan “Beauties for a cause”

The 24 stunning girls below are vying for the ultimate prize at this year’s Miss Earth Nigeria pageant, which will hold next week Sunday September 22nd at Oriental Hotel in Lagos.
Reality star Amber Rose, Hollywood actor Boris Kodjoe, Karly Redd and our own Genevieve Nnaji have confirmed attendance according to the organizers of the pageant.
