Lobi Stars advanced to the semi-finals of the Gold Cup following a hard-fought 1-1 draw against Nigeria National League club Crown FC at the Otunba Dipo Dina Stadium, Ijebu Ode on Wednesday.

Friday Jacob gave the Ajilete Valiantes the lead in the third minute.

Veteran striker David Tyvakase equalised for the Pride of Benue 23 minutes before the end of the game.

In the day’s other fixture MFM FC rallied from a goal down to draw 1-1 against Niger Tornadoes.

Tornadoes raced into an early lead through Abiodun Yusuf.

Sikiru Olatunbosun missed the chance to drag his side back into the game when his penalty was saved by Henry Abara in the 15th minute.

Stephen Odey however equalised for the Olukoya Boys four minutes before the break.
