PDP, in a statement by its publicity secretary in the state, Bode Ogunmola said Buhari’s staying away from Audu’s campaign is a testimony that Audu is corrupt and could be a stain to his anti-corruption war.

According to the statement, the party said the president has proven that he is above board and would not be swayed by his party’s sentiments to drum his blessings to a candidate that is yet to prove his innocence in a corruption charge.

PDP described its gubernatorial candidate and the incumbent governor, Capt. Idris Wada as the best choice for the people of the state, pointing out that Wada is not only incorruptible but prudent, transparent and humble.

The party said the body-language of president Buhari is quite obvious, pointing out that a man like him who is well known for his integrity will not allow his image to be dragged to the mud.

The statement further vowed that the PDP will continue to support and join hands in the fight against corruption in Nigeria.

Meanwhile, Prince Uche Secondus, the acting national chairman of the PDP, said on Tuesday, November 3, that to eliminate the role of money-bag politicians, the intention of the party was to make its primary elections zero expensive in order not to give room for inducing anybody.

The party, in a communique issued in Abuja on Thursday, October 29, after the confirmation of the ministerial nominees at the Senate plenary session, equally raised concerns over what it described as undemocratic attitudes on the part of the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration.
