The home-based Super Eagles had their first feel of the Stade de’Lamite pitch on Saturday evening here in Cotonou ahead of Sunday’s 2018 CHAN qualifier against hosts Benin Republic, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
Stade de’Lamite will host the match on Sunday at 4pm.
The training session which lasted for one hour had all the 20 players in attendance.
The home-based Eagles coach Salisu Yusuf, his assistants Alloy Agu, Imama Amapakabo and new interim goalkeeper trainer Enrico Pionetti took charge of the session.
Also present at the training was Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr who was observing the session.
The 17 outfield players were put through their paces by Yusuf and Amapakabo while the duo of Pionetti and Agu drilled the three goalkeepers Dele Ajiboye, Theophilus Afelokhai and Ikechukwu Ezenwa who is the skipper of the team.
Immediately after the home-based Eagles rounded off their session, the host team had their turn.
