Father of Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi, Chuka Iwobi, was a relieved man after seeing the Gunners pip Leicester City 4-3 in a thrilling opening day of the 2017/2018 Premier League season.
Iwobi senior watched the match at the Emirates Stadium Friday night albeit his son was an unused substitute in the seven goal thriller.
The senior Iwobi congratulated the Arsenal players after the victory and posted his opinion on the on the game accompanied by pictures with new signing Alexandre Lacazette and defender Nacho Monreal on his Facebook page.
“Arsenal 4 versus Leicester 3. Difficult game, but good start to the season,” Iwobi who is based in London wrote on Facebook.
The Iwobi family back home in Nigeria passionately follow the exploits of their relative and usually welcome a couple of fans at their family house in Onitsha, Anambra State to watch the matches of the 21-year-old former England youth international.
