Members of De-Havillah Development – organizers of African Village Queen Pageantry were on a working visit to Itu Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State as preparation for the 2012 edition of the pageantry are in top gears. The African Village Queen Pageant is a non-political, non- partisan platform for young women to achieve personal growth and development and take pride in their heritage, discover their inner beauty in archiving their humanitarian goals in life and laying a strong foundation as a leader of the future. The African Village Queen Pageant is looking for a lady that will be committed to using her position and influence to better the lives of others, promote awareness to the plight of the less privileged, be prepared to contribute to the development of her community and most of all being a great Ambassador and role model that will address the challenges of aggressive imitation of unfiltered foreign cultural productions.
This year’s edition of African Village Queen is sponsored by MMA Obot Foundation, Siba Group of Companies, Naz Entertainment, Restpoint Gardens, SIVIC Boutique, Wintech Computer, MM2, StormBlast Media, Purple House Studio, Amaecom Global [Nig.] Limited, Monty Suite, 360 Degree Magazine and www.wetinhappen.com.
